More Brand Phones
The Gionee M30 which was announced some days ago is a quite interesting phone and here are its specs and price in Nigeria.
It is a mid-range product with pretty good computing hardware. The battery of the device is also an interesting aspect thing about it, as the phone is powered by a 10,000 mAh battery.
However, when it comes to design, you may not be very impressed with this product. In short, if I'm to make a statement on who this type of phone is best for, I'm going to say it's for gamers.
While the paragraph above summarizes what M30 is all about, it's very worthwhile taking some time to read more about the phone.
Reading more about it is how you can really get a better grasp of what the phone has to offer.
And for those who'll like to know what this content will cover, the content will cover things like the phone's specs and features summary, the phone's price, the computing hardwares, the display, the operating system, the cameras, etc.
And once we're done with all these, I'll wrap up the content with a conclusion.

Design
Starting with the design, the M30 is not so pleasing in this aspect. The design of the phone is definitely not as cool as those of most mid-range phones out there.
But at the same time, I can't say Gionee disappointed, as it seems the phone was intentionally designed the way it is. In fact, it seems the phone was created to have this iconic look of a gaming device.
Giving details, M30 comes in a non-rectangular shape. The shape of the phone is rather a hybrid of a rectangle and a hexagon.
The front of the device features a glass protection, while its frame is made of aluminium frame. As for the rear side of the phone, an aluminium material is also used.
The M30 is available in just one colour which is black. For a typical phone, I'll consider Gionee to have disappointed, by making the phone available in just one colour.
But because the M30 is a gaming device, Gionee can't be considered to have disappointed here. It also important stating that even though the phone is majorly black in colour, it has some touches of red.
Computing Hardware
When it comes to computing hardware, M30 is a product which will compete confidently with most phones in the mid-range category. The phone features good a chipset, a good processor, a good RAM, processor, etc.
Starting with the chipset, the phone is powered by the MediaTek MT6771 Helio P60. If you're quite conversant with the mid-range phone market, this chipset is a thing you should have heard about.
But for those who are encountering the MediaTek MT6771 Helio P60 for the first time, I'll like to introduce this chipset to you, as one of the most popular chipsets in the market. The chipset features an octa-core processor.
Four of this processor's cores are Cortex-A53 cores, while the other four cores of the processor are Cortex-A73 cores. And even though the eight cores are all rated at 2.00 GHz, the Cortex-A73 cores are significantly more powerful.
While an octa-core processor is responsible for the processing of the general computing tasks of the phone, a GPU known as the Mali-G72 MP3 handles the graphics-related tasks of the device.
And since the Mali-G72 MP3 is also a pretty popular computing hardware, chances are that you've already come across it. But as for people who are encountering this hardware for the first time, I'll like to say — the Mali-G72 MP3 is one of the most impressive mid-range GPUs of MediaTek.
For any mid-range phone which must be called a good mid-range device, at least 6 GB of RAM must be featured. And not only doesn't the M30 meet up with this requirement, it actually exceeds it, by featuring an 8 GB RAM.
With the processor of the M30, it's GPU, and an 8 GB RAM, this device ranks as a pretty powerful mid-range phone.
Display
In the aspect of display, the M30 is an average product. The device features an IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels.
And with the size of the display being 6.00 inches, the pixel density of the phone's display is about 268 pixel per inch (PPI).
A pixel density of this amount it what Tecno and Infinix mid-range phones typically feature.
In other words, expect the display of the phone to be similar to those of the Tecno and Infinix phones you see around you.
As regards the brightness of the M30, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. The brightness of the phone is rated at 400 nits. And thanks to this brightness, using the phone under a bright sunlight wasn't difficult for me.
Operating System
The operating system which powers M30 is the Android 10 operating system. The Android 10 OS is the Android version we expect from phones being released during this period.
So Gionee can be said to a have done a good job in this aspect. One thing you should however note is that the OS of this product is not a stock Android 10.
The OS that powers the M30, just like every other Gionee product, is a custom Android. And while I clearly don't like the OS as much as the stock Android 10, I can't consider the OS a terrible one.
Storage
When I first learnt about the M30, I assumed the device will feature an internal storage of 64 GB. But as we can also see, I am dead wrong; the phone rather features 128 GB of internal storage.
And even though 128 GB storage is not a special thing in the mid-range category, I just wasn't expecting Gionee to be as generous as they have been with the M30.
Also, with the device having as much as 128 GB of storage, I don't think there should be a person who won't appreciate the phone in this aspect. And as for those who wonder if the device has support for micro SD card, the answer is yes, but I strongly doubt you'll need one.
Gionee V185 Price In Nigeria Today
However, while the Gionee N30 truly comes with 128 GB storage, the amount of storage space you'll be able to use will be much less. Don't expect anything significantly higher than 112 GB of free space.
And the reason why some of this storage won't be available for you own use, has to do with the OS, the pre-installed apps, and the other files that come with the phone. These items all need a place to be stored, and a part of the internal storage is where they are stored.
Camera
These days, mid-range devices are found of coming with multiple multiple rear cameras. But unfortunately, this isn't the case with the M30. It rather comes with a single rear camera.
However, note that the rear camera of this device is highly-enhanced and performs much better than the 16 MP cameras of many phones we have out there.
While a 16 MP lens acts as the main rear camera of the M30, the front of the M30 features an 8 MP camera. This 8 MP lens, just like the 13 MP rear lens, is excellent at what it was designed for. The 8 MP lens is also highly enhanced, and the pictures it takes are really nice.

5G is becoming a thing people now consider, when buying a new smartphone, but unfortunately, the M30 doesn't support it.
Gionee V185 Price In Nigeria Plc
But if you're not the kind who's going to be travelling out of this country within the next 3 years, I see no reason to be bothered, as 5G is very unlikely to become mainstream in Nigeria, until after 3 years.
As for 4G support, the M30 has a very strong support for this. I was able to test the phone with the 4G networks of Airtel, MTN, Glo, and 9mobile, and it worked perfectly with every one of them.
Final Words
If you're a lady or an elderly man looking forward to getting a new phone, I won't recommend a product like the M30.

But if you're a serious gamer or you demand a powerful phone you won't have to charge every now and then, then I'll strongly recommend you a product like the M30.
So guys. what do you think of the Gionee M30 from its price in Nigeria to what it has to offer? Let me know in the comment box.
